If You're Performing Reloading Drills with Your Scattergun, You'll Need These...

Specifically, 'dummy rounds'.  Having them get's rid of a LOT of anxiety for others watching, especially if you're indoors.  This is just one brand; there are dozens out there.  For me, 10 dummy rounds is enough for good practice. You probably practice reloading with your pistols and rifles, and so should you with your scattergun. All safety rules apply.  NEVER get apathetic, even with dummy rounds.

A Good Skill to Develop...

We Truly ARE Toast, Militarily Speaking...

I liked Fort Drum; I trained there in the early 80's when stationed at Griffiss AFB, NY.  It was a superb post.  Back then, the 10th was just getting going, so whenever we went, it was pretty quiet. Now?  Apparently the 10th at Drum has gone over to the Dark Side with this latest revelation from Life Site News . I could have titled the post, " WHAT in the EVER LOVING F*%K is going on in the US Army?," but I think the answer to that rhetorical question is obvious to anyone serving in any of our once unbelievably efficient and professional US military branches. I'm curious - will the leadership of Forts Drum and Benning not let our troops fight against an enemy if not vaccinated?  Not get promoted?  Not get advanced training? Just exactly how far are these obvious subverters of US National Security willing to go? Wristbands and dining cards: New Army policies exclude, isolate unvaccinated The US Army can’t legally mandate COVID vaccines, but restrictive policies...

My Answer to Outrageously Expensive 'Micro Rigs'

Image
I'm sure they're great products, but I've found that for what I want it for, here's the best option that doesn't cost $200 after shipping/tax. Blackhawk split front chest rig:  $30 + S/T Two each 25 round drop open 12 ga pouches:  $25 all in One or tTwo each USGI surplus 100 rd SAW pouch;  $25 all in if you go with two So far, you've got $80 invested, and that's if you don't go to flea markets, garage sales, or swap meets to get them more cheaply. You win.  You save $120-ish. Here's a picture of mine; the only difference is that mine isn't a split front.  Looks a tad crowded, but when you put it on, the curvature of the chest/torso makes everything space out just right. Between the scatter gun (8+1), the side saddle (6), and the 75 rounds on the micro rig, I'm good for a riot or two.  90 rounds total, 30 slugs, the rest a mix of 00 Buck and duplex turkey rounds. What are you thinking?

H/T to the Daily Pundit . So You Want To Believe The So-Called 'Experts'?* 2021-03-27 07:00 by  Karl Denninger Let's go down the list. This virus was newly discovered in January of 2020 . FALSE;  Judicial watch has now  proved  that  Fauci and the NIH  knew   that Covid-19 was diagnosed  no later than December 2nd 2019 in Wuhan.   This was  deliberately concealed  under confidentiality agreements between China and the NIH.  In short Dr. Fauci and the NIH  knowingly and repeatedly lied  about the time of first discovery and diagnosis  and it is documented that this was known in February and early March and not disclosed .  We also now  know  with scientific certainty that the virus was in the US  no later  than the second week of December of 2019 because antibodies were found in about 1.5% of blood donations from that time.  This, along with the sequencing ba...

Sunday Afternoon Small Chore Catch Up...

Image
Sunday afternoon....not a lot going on, so....local store 12 gauge target load availability check - no joy.  Upgraded my hunting shotgun's fiber optic front sight with a Tru-Glo dual color.  Cleaned 12 Glock mags.  Put a bunch of brass in the 'take to the recycler for $1.90 @ pound' bag.  Removed a few loose mag pul AFG screws, applied gun-tite, and replaced.  Made sure my M-9 factory adjustable sight was centered for this week's coming zero session, and figured I put a post out. What'd you do?

Explanation of my Conversion to Stoeger Shotguns...

Image
What led to my conversion: Beretta owns Benelli owns Stoeger Benelli's patent on the inertia system expires Everyone and their brother in Turkey starts making inertia shotguns; some really good, some really bad. Very few of the Benelli imitations take Benelli or Stoeger parts Stoeger puts Benelli's exact system into its semi-automatic offerings Stoger's M3000 series (3 inch shell capable) takes Benelli parts & chokes Benelli performance + at 1/4 to 1/3 the price What reinforced my conversion: Having a Stoeger M3000 general purpose (can be used for 3 gun) 28 in barrel 12 gauge and a M3000 Freedom model with a 18.5 in barrel - shooting the former in sporting clays and the latter on the range testing rapid fire 00 Buck and slugs. This "Nuttin Fancy" video review of the Stoeger M3000 Of course, as always, YMMV. The 7 year old blog post outlining performance of a good number of shotguns during very intense courses of fire re-posted below. Emphasis mine;  edited ...

Know Your Enemy...

H/T to The Tactical Hermit .  This is an essential read.  Very instructive. Original, here . Case Study: Grant Park Assault  Analysis Of the July 2020 Columbus Statue Attack Erin Smith Mar 19 Note: despite the warning this post was too long for email, she persevered. You’ll likely need to click the link to my substack to view the full entry. Sorry, but I think this post is worth the trouble! Two questions I get asked a lot: how do lefties turn out so many people yet still efficiently corral and move them through an urban area? and what is the interplay between the black bloc factions and the regular protest? To answer this properly I’m going to share some links to better illuminate for you the degree of organization and planning it takes to successfully pull off a mass disruption, as well as illustrate the mutually-reinforcing, coordinated roles played by regular protesters and a black bloc. Then we’re going to break down the  July 17 2020 Grant Park incident i...
