Brass Catchers - A Polite Shooter's Nod to Avoiding Litter...

It doesn't matter where you are outdoors if you're shooting a semi-automatic weapon.  Rifle, carbine, shotgun or pistol, chances are you're going to leave brass or hulls around, and that's just RUDE!  Revolvers aren't included, because

Easy answer:  Mount a brass catcher on whatever you're shooting that day.  Be kind to your neighbors, your community, and the environment!

All you need is a picatinny rail for the commercially made, and there's even one with an elastic band for pistols you can slip over your shooting hand.  These work pretty good; I've used it with everything from a Desert Eagle .50AE down to a Browning Buckmark.  They get about 98% or more of the ejected brass, and if you know your pistols ejection pattern, you can easily see the very, very few laying around and simply pick them up.

Remember, don't be a litter bug!

  1. Posting the website for my favorite brass catcher. IMO they are the best ! Tacticalbrassrecovery.com is where you'll find a myriad of their offerings. TBR is my suggestion

TBR's products are not inexpensive. But, one gets in quality and support what one pays for.

Hope I am not breaking any rules with my above suggestion.

  2. I look at brass catchers more as means to not leave evidence.

Comments are very welcome with the following proviso: Comments can't detract from the subject in the post. Debate is fine; 'hi-jacking', ad hominem, vitriol, 'sniping,' reprehensible language for the sake of it, and so forth will not be tolerated and get the offender banned. Once banned, there's usually no 'do over.'
