No Wiggle Room on This!

Regarding Baldwin's killing of the DP of his latest movie and "fault":

It is the PERSONAL responsibility of the person holding the weapon to immediately check the chamber for either appropriate loads OR empty status.

No excuses, no,  "they told me it was empty..."

ALL WEAPONS ARE ALWAYS LOADED UNTIL PROVEN TO BE EMPTY BY VISUAL INSPECTION.

THE PERSON WITH HIS OR HER HANDS ON THE WEAPON IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE IF THE WEAPON IS DISCHARGED, UNINTENTIONALLY OR NOT.

End of story.

  1. If what I read is correct, he fired a single action revolver. He had to pull the hammer back, point it at a person, pull the trigger. Not once but twice! Manslaughter and Assault with intent to kill on the second at the very minimum

  2. um, not really. on set the armorer is the last guy to check the weapon status, b/c frankly, actors can't be trusted to do it w/o fracking it up. likely the brandon lee scenario repeated itself due to hiring a cut-rate armorer service. there had already been three prior incidents on this set. they should have been fired long b4 this happened.

  3. I've walked onto rigging jobs . Met the first looney tunes addict carrying a full baggy of pills and walked right back off the job . Not gettin' killed on the job . Baldwin was also listed as a producer . He is double liable . You do not point at what you do not intend to kill . Those movie sets are drug infested traps .

  4. The common sense safety rules aside, how does an individual "accidentally" shoot two separate individuals?

  5. He only fired once. They guy that got wounded caught a through and through. 45 long colt. Lot's of BS floating around about this. First of all this is all Baldwin. If some one hands you a gun it's YOUR responsibility to determine the condition of the fire arm. Laws don't change just because it's on a movie set.
Yesterday FOX News reported the incident occurred right after the film crew walked off the set in protest of safety conditions. I that's true why is Baldwin discharging a weapon? It's not being filmed. The two people shot work well behind the cameras. In fact they're suppose to be behind a 1 inch thick piece of plexiglass.
The woman that was shot was also reportedly one of the vocal people complaining about lack of discipline around firearms.
The story is changing every 5 minutes. Meaning the fix is in.
