It's Big, it's Boxy, and it's EXCEEDINGLY Accurate...
My Glock 41 next to some GREAT practice ammo!
One of the reasons I REALLY love winter is that I can easily conceal my full-sized Glock 41 along with 2 spare mags, all of which have extensions on them giving me 46 rounds on my person.
The 1/2 inch longer site radius lets me really reach out...all the way to 50 yards on full sized human silhouettes. For fun, I like to do this drill: From depressed pistol position, on 'Go,' shoot 5 rounds in 5 seconds. Clear, safe, retrieve target and see where the cards have fallen.
With this Glock, they're all in the upper portion of the torso (usually), and very rarely, I'll have a miss. It's the pistol. And the sights. And the sight radius.
Truth be told, I can do the same with my Kimber Pro Carry II at about 40 yards...50's a bit much for my capabilities without that full 5 inch sight radius. But I'm happy to carry either, especially in winter.
Here's a 20 yard target with the 41. The Occular Cavity Target is just under human size and is printed on 8.5X11 card stock.
Sight radius makes a difference. How about you? What's your preference?
My EDC is a Glock 41.
